Choosing anti-static PVC strip curtains

Our lime-green anti-static PVC is available in made-to-measure curtains for projects where static behaviour matters. Review the supplied surface resistance and surface resistivity results against your electrical specification before selecting the material. Colour alone does not establish performance, and the finished installation must be assessed as part of your workplace controls.

Specify the complete curtain

Record the width and height in millimetres, the traffic using the doorway and whether the curtain should remain fixed or slide aside. Strip size and overlap affect both access and the amount of material across the doorway. For replacement strips, confirm the existing rail and hanging-plate dimensions as well as the PVC grade. Send a photograph of the current system if compatibility is uncertain.

Compare the PVC technical data sheets

Anti-static curtains for clean rooms and electrically sensitive areas

Clean rooms, electronics assembly areas and precision workspaces need access arrangements that suit the process. Anti-static strip curtains provide a flexible division to consider where visibility, regular passage and specified electrical properties are important. Choose the material and layout with the people responsible for your controlled environment.

What should your clean-room or sensitive-area enquiry include?

  • The work process, doorway dimensions and proposed curtain fixing positions.
  • Any clean-room classification, cleaning procedures and material compatibility requirements.
  • Staff and trolley movements, equipment access and whether the curtain needs to slide aside.
  • Required electrical properties and the test evidence your specification calls for.
  • Airflow, pressure and other installation requirements to review with your site specialists.

Review the anti-static technical data and supplied electrical test results before ordering. Anti-static material does not by itself establish clean-room suitability or certify an ESD-controlled area. Strip curtains are not airtight; confirm cleaning compatibility, particle-control requirements and the complete installation with your responsible specialist.

Simple measuring guide

How to measure for a PVC strip curtain

  1. 1

    Measure the clear width

Measure left to right in millimetres. For face fixing, allow approximately 100 mm beyond each side where space permits.

  2. 2

    Measure the total drop

Measure from the intended fixing point to the floor. Leave a small clearance so the strips move freely.

  3. 3

    Check traffic and temperature

Pedestrians, trolleys, forklifts and freezer environments each benefit from different PVC grades and overlaps.

  4. 4

    Send the details
