Choose with confidence

Find the material for your application

Strip width, thickness, overlap and grade all affect access, durability and environmental performance.

Roll of standard clear PVC strip material

PVC grade

Standard clear

Everyday transparent PVC for internal and sheltered pedestrian or light-traffic doorways.

Typical uses
Warehouses, retail back rooms, workshops and general separation.

Roll of freezer-grade polar clear PVC strip material

PVC grade

Freezer grade

A softer low-temperature formulation designed to remain flexible in chilled and frozen environments.

Typical uses
Walk-in chillers, cold stores, prep rooms and refrigerated routes. Compare freezer-grade curtains for your operating conditions.

Roll of ribbed clear PVC strip material

PVC grade

Ribbed clear

Raised ribs on the strip faces reduce direct surface wear from pallets and vehicle contact.

Typical uses
Forklift routes, loading bays and busy industrial doorways. Review ribbed curtains for vehicle traffic alongside the load dimensions.

Roll of green anti-static PVC strip material

PVC grade

Anti-static

Specialist dissipative material for environments where static buildup must be considered.

Typical uses
Data halls, laboratories, electronics and clean production areas. Compare anti-static curtains and request material evidence.

Roll of red welding-grade PVC strip material

PVC grade

Welding grade

Tinted strip material for screening designated welding and workshop areas.

Typical uses
Welding bays and screened work areas, subject to the material evidence needed for the process. Compare welding curtains and booths.

Roll of frosted translucent PVC strip material

PVC grade

Frosted

Translucent material that softens visibility while allowing light through.

Typical uses
Privacy screens, changing areas and visual separation.

Width and thickness guide

Common sizeTypical curtain heightTraffic
200 × 2 mmOften used below 3 mPedestrians and light trolleys
300 × 2 or 3 mmOften used from 3–5 mMixed and heavier traffic
400 × 4 mmLarge or tall doorwaysHeavy industrial use

These are general guides rather than engineering limits. Wind exposure, temperature difference, traffic and desired overlap can change the most suitable specification.

Choose PVC thickness for the job

A thicker door curtain is not automatically a better choice. Wider or thicker strips form a heavier barrier, but can increase resistance to passage. Match strip size, overlap and material grade to the curtain height, pedestrians or vehicles, temperature and exposure.

Common material choices and the information to check
RequirementMaterial to considerBefore ordering
General clear doorway barrierStandard clear PVCCheck traffic, exposure and temperature
Low-temperature accessPolar / freezer-grade PVCCompare the actual temperature with the material data
Repeated vehicle contactRibbed PVCReview vehicle and load dimensions and strip wear
Static-sensitive specificationLime-green anti-static PVCReview the reported electrical results against your requirement
Welding screeningWelding-grade PVCUse the appropriate welding product; ordinary coloured PVC is not equivalent

Use the measuring and ordering guide to choose a starting specification. If the doorway is unusually tall, exposed or heavily used, send your dimensions and traffic details before selecting material.

Simple measuring guide

How to measure for a PVC strip curtain

  1. 1

    Measure the clear width

Measure left to right in millimetres. For face fixing, allow approximately 100 mm beyond each side where space permits.

  2. 2

    Measure the total drop

Measure from the intended fixing point to the floor. Leave a small clearance so the strips move freely.

  3. 3

    Check traffic and temperature

Pedestrians, trolleys, forklifts and freezer environments each benefit from different PVC grades and overlaps.

  4. 4

    Send the details

Use an online quote tool or call our team for practical advice before ordering.
