Product overview
Flexible strip curtains with sliding access
Individual PVC strips on a sliding track provide a flexible doorway barrier that can draw aside for occasional bulky loads. Plan the track and gathering space around the access you need.

Sliding access with individual hanging strips
Access for larger loads
Move the curtain along its track when a pallet, fragile item or oversized load needs a wider route. The usable clearance depends on the track layout and space for the strips to gather.
Pass through between strips
Overlapping strips allow routine passage without moving a whole sheet panel. Draw the curtain back across the doorway after larger loads have passed.
Choose the material
Standard clear, freezer, welding, blackout, anti-static, frosted and ribbed PVC options suit different requirements. Select the grade around temperature, visibility and traffic.
Plan the surroundings
Check walls, doors, services and nearby storage before choosing the sliding arrangement. The curtain needs a clear gathering area beside the doorway.
Options and planning details
- 300mm-wide strips: 2mm Standard, Freezer, Welding or Blackout; 3mm Standard, Anti-Static, Frosted, Ribbed or Ribbed Freezer.
- Optional red warning strips help mark the curtain edges.
- Wall or ceiling mounting to suit an appropriate supporting structure.
- For continuous panels with a viewing-window option, compare sliding workshop sheet curtains.
Specification details
Measure the doorway and plan the track
Record clear dimensions
Measure doorway width and height in millimetres. Record the proposed fixing point separately and note any floor slope; do not add track allowances without agreeing the layout.
Measure gathering space
Measure the clear area beside the doorway, including obstructions and door travel. Send a sketch showing the route and the space available for the strips when open.
Confirm support and fit
Identify wall or ceiling mounting and suitable structural support. Follow the agreed system instructions for track alignment, carriers and hanging the strips.
Check travel and maintain
Check the strips move freely and leave the agreed floor clearance. Keep the track clear of debris, inspect carriers and fixings, and replace damaged strips with compatible parts.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a fixed strip curtain?
Both use individual hanging strips. A sliding system lets the curtain move along its track for occasional larger loads, while a fixed curtain stays across the doorway. Compare fixed strip curtains for routine pass-through access.
Will the whole doorway be clear?
That depends on the track travel, the gathered curtain and surrounding space. Provide the required clear width and a sketch so the doorway arrangement can be agreed.
How much gathering space is needed?
Measure the space beside the doorway and identify obstructions. The required space depends on the specified system and hanging arrangement; a single percentage is not a reliable allowance.
Can I choose freezer-grade PVC?
Yes. Options include 300mm × 2mm Freezer and 300mm × 3mm Ribbed Freezer. Provide operating temperatures so the material and track arrangement can be checked for the application.
Can individual strips be replaced?
Worn strips can be replaced when the grade, size and hanging hardware are compatible. Record the original specification and inspect the carriers and track before ordering replacements.
